About
Victor Bock
Founder and editor, The Auto Shift
I started The Auto Shift because car marketing still talks like the buyer is waiting in a living room for a commercial. They are not. They are in a comments section, a payment calculator, and a service lane, trying to decide whether the brand is telling the truth.
The journal covers four beats: digital transformation, AI integration, dealership strategy, and EV consumer adoption. The point of view is specific on purpose. National films are easy. The hard work is local media, owned follow-through, and claims a human will sign.
I write for brand marketers, dealer-group operators, and students of the craft who are tired of decks that never name a rooftop. Pieces are opinion, sourced where a number or an institution is doing real work, and edited by a person. Tools can help the draft. They do not get the byline.
Before you treat this as a pitch, read an essay. If the argument is useful, the contact desk is open for notes, corrections, and conversations.
